Taneka Berrios
Taneka has been the Director of Tomorrow’s Stars since July 2023. She is married to her wonderful husband, mother to six amazing children and Gram- Tee to one awesome grandson. She currently holds an Associate in Arts in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. She has worked as a Teacher, Assistant Director, and Director in the Early Childhood field for 15+ years. Her vision is to ensure all children have a safe and inviting environment that makes them eager to learn while meeting their individual developmental needs. When she is not at Tomorrow’s Stars, she enjoys shopping, spending time with family, traveling, and experiencing new cuisines.
Kimberly Stout-Figueroa
OwnerKim has worked in the childcare field for over 35 years. She owns and operates Kids Ink of Ewing since 1997 and has been the owner of Tomorrow’s Stars since the summer of 2021. She grew up in Hamilton and attended Steinert High School and Mercer County College where she studied Early Childhood and Business. While growing up she always knew she wanted to work around children and continued working at a center until March 1997 when she opened her first door for four children and two employees. Over the journey she has watched those children grow and bring their own back into her care, serving two and even three generations, as well as have some apply for jobs.
Kim has extensive training in medical and emergency services, team building, NJ Grows’ ITERS and ECERS programs, Creative Curriculum, Family Engagement and much more. She works to provide a comfortable environment that allows each child to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and a good self-image. She strives continuously to provide a safe and loving environment for the children to grow socially and emotionally. Kim has two grown boys, Gene and Kory, a sixteen-year-old daughter, Brooke, and was recently promoted to Grammy in 2023. In her spare time Kim loves to host parties, cook, shop and travel with her close-knit family.
Allie Rockhill
Infant Lead TeacherAllie is the Lead Infant Teacher and has been working at Tomorrow’s Stars for 61⁄2 years. She loves watching the children grow and seeing all of their milestones each and every day. Although Allie has worked with all ages, she believes working with infants is something she really loves. In her free time she loves being with family, her boyfriend and friends. She is the youngest of two older sisters, and Allie’s niece and nephews are her world.
Dawn Deptula
Toddler Lead TeacherDawn has been with Tomorrow’s Stars for over the past twenty years. She is the lead teacher in the Toddler Room and part of the Administration Team. Her goal is to create a positive and engaging learning experience for all the children. Dawn is a wife and a mother to one daughter who has made her the proud grandmom of her two beautiful grandchildren. When she is not at work, she likes to spend time with them, crafting, and enjoying good food.
Kelly Meara
Assistant TeacherKelly has worked at Tomorrow’s Stars for 13 years. She is a part of the Administrative staff and works as a Floating Teacher in all the classrooms or wherever she is needed. She graduated with honors from Kutztown University in May of 2016 and is a dually certified teacher in Pre-K through Grade 3 and teacher of students with disabilities. She was also newly certified in social and emotional learning after completing a certificate program through Rutgers Continuing Education’s partnership with Saint Elizabeth University. Kelly also works full time as a second-grade teacher and spends her evenings and summers at Tomorrow’s Stars.
Liz Dorfman
Toddler TeacherLiz joined the Tomorrow’s Stars team in the summer of 2023. You will always see her with a smiling face when working one of her days from where she is enrolled at The College of New Jersey studying Education. Liz will graduate in May of 2025 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. In her spare time, she likes to listen to music, read and shop. Liz’s goal and philosophy as a teacher is to lead and teach with love.
